            Volunteers are called for from eligible officials to officiate  on as IP (PG), Sivaganga Division. 

The officials should have completed 5 years of continuous service in clerical cadre and he/she should satisfy the eligibility conditions for appearing for IPO examination.
1.      Below 40 years for OC.
2.      Below 43 years for OBC.
3.      Below 45 years for SC/ST. 

The arrangement is purely temporary and will be for a period of 4 months or till regular arrangement is made whichever is earlier.

             This may be circulated to all eligible officials including those who are on leave/ deputation/ training etc without fail.

            Applications received from the willing officials may be obtained and forwarded so as to reach this on or before  23.08.2013.

                        In accordance with Chief Postmaster General, TN Circle,  Chennai 02 letter no. REP/83-1/MTS Exam/2013 dated 08.08.2013. The examination is scheduled to be held on 29.09.2013

1.         Conduct of exam:
            For Multi-Tasking Staff cadre, examination will be conducted as per Department of Posts Multi Tasking Staff (Amendment) Recruitment Rules 2012, communicated by Directorate vide letter No. 37-33/2009-SPB-I dated 11.07.2012, for the category of “25% of direct recruitment on the basis of Competitive Examination restricted to the Gramin Dak Sevaks of the Division or Unit in Subordinate Offices.

2.         Vacancies for holding the exam:
The Examination for filling up the posts of Multi-Tasking Staff  will be conducted for the vacancies of the years 2013.
            *Examination will not be conducted for the Division/Unit having ‘NIL’ vacancies.

3.         Examination Fee:
            There is no examination fee, as there are no orders from Directorate.

4.         Photots:
The applicant should enclose two passport size photos along with the application, out  of which one may be pasted in the Hall Permit.

5.         Eligibility Criteria:
All Gramin Dak Sevaks officials who are appointed and applied before the last date of receipt of applications, ie. Before 30.08.2013 and who are up to the age limit of 50 years as on 01.01.2013 are eligible to apply.  The age limit is relaxable for those belonging to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes up to five years and for those belonging to other backward classes up to three years.  The age concession for OBC/SC/ST candidates is applicable only against respective reserved quota of vacancies.


6.         Pattern & Syllabus for the examination:
            In accordance with the instructions contained in Directorate letter No. 45-14(ii)/2012-SPB-I dated 31.07.2012, the revised pattern and syllabus for the examination is furnished below:
            I. Candidates shall be subjected to an Aptitude Test of the level of 10th class/matriculation covering the following subjects/topics:

25 questions on General knowledge - Multiple choice questions
Part ‘B’-25
 25 questions of Mathematics - Multiple choice questions
Part ‘C’-50 – (Two segments)
 (i)  25 marks- English language - Objective Type/ Multiple choice questions
(ii) 25 marks- Regional language - Objective Type/ Multiple choice questions
            II. DURATION OF EXAMINATION: 90 minutes.
           
            III. QUALIFYING MARKS:
a.      Parts A and B- Minimum 10 marks for OC, 8 marks for SC/ST and 9 marks  for OBC* candidates in each part.
b.      Parts C (Two segments)- Minimum 10 marks for OC, 8 marks for SC/ST and 9 marks for OBC candidates in each segment.
c.       40% marks for OC, 33 marks for SC/ST and 37 marks for OBC candidates in aggregate.

7.         Venue of Examination:
            The examination will held at all Regional Head Quarters of the Circle i.e. Chennai, Trichy, Madurai, Coimbatore, and if need be in other centres, with the approval of competent authotiry.

8.         Schedule for the Examination:
            The last date for submission of applications by the candidate to the Divisional/ Unit Heads concerned is 28.08.2013.  The  schedule of activity as furnished below may be strictly adhered to:-

9.   The contents of this letter should be circulated among all concerned including those on leave deputation etc., Complaint if any regarding non circulation of this notification will be viewed seriously.
10. The PMs/SPMs may send this multiple letter to all SOs/BOs under their account jurisdiction by entry in SO/BO slip.  They will furnish certificate to the effect of proper circulation of the communication to this office within a week without fail.

11.  The receipt of this letter should be acknowledged immediately.

            Belated applications will be summarily rejected.

2.         The syllabus has been laid down in Director-General, Department of Posts, New Delhi - 110 001 letter No. A-34012/7/2013-DE dated 17.06.2013 communicated in CO letter No. REP/4-1/PA/SA/2013 dated 18.06.2013.



3.         The examination will be held in all divisions in our circle.  The examination will be for departmental quota vacancies for 2013. The number of vacancies available in each division will be notified in due course.  In case in any division vacancies are not eventually identified and notified, the qualified candidates of the divisions will be treated as surplus qualified candidates and will be considered for allotment to divisions where there is shortfall to the extent of notified vacancies.  The candidates may take up the examination in ENGLISH/HINDI.

           
            As per the existing orders on the subject, the number of chances for the examination is SIX.

            Permanent officials with not less than 3 years of regular service as on last date of receipt of applications in divisional office are eligible to sit for the examination.

The last date for submission of willingness letter by the candidate is 28.06.2013 in the Divisional Office.

            The willingness letter should be submitted in the prescribed form to the immediate supervisor, so as to reach the Divisional Office in time.  All officials including those on leave etc. should be informed of the examination without any omission

            The names of community or Tribe should be mentioned in the applications in respect of SC/ST and whether candidates are HINDU should also be mentioned in regard to SC/ST candidates.
